Actually in this case they got it right! I'm on the National Academy of =
Sciences Evaluation Panel for the NIST (National Institute of =
Standards and Technology, the newish name for National Bureau =
of Standards) Physics Laboratory, which is responsible for the atomic =
clock and research therein - it really is a fantastic piece of work and a=

well run program. The clock sites cope pretty effortlessly with several =
million hits a month.
NIST is one of the very best of government labs anywhere in the world, IM=
O.
