I'm a beginner using a Buffet B12. I recently took the advice of the list
to get a new mouthpiece, and now have a Hite Premiere.

My tone and playing are much better with the new mouthpiece, but I've been
wondering whether the reeds (Vandoren) might now be too narrow. They are
marginally narrower than the face of the mouthpiece and seem more sensitive
to the pressure from the ligature (that is, I have to adjust the ligature
more carefully). Also, my clarinet seems to whistle more.

Or is it just me?
