...and a nice arrangement/composition it is. Antoine sent me a (not ideal) copy of it using MIDI as
the common file-type for transferring. Without phrasing and dynamic markings etc. I can only imagine
what the piece would properly sound like (yes, there's bits in it which I would need to work on in
order to play it through - cadenzas etc.). I felt that there were one or two places which were
weaker than the rest, but again having listened to it through via MIDI I wasn't giving it a fair
chance. I haven't printed it off to have a play through it yet. Listening to something which has not
been "fully" programmed in MIDI (i.e. with dynamics, accents, performance nuances etc.) they all
sound flat (not in the pitch sense of the word!) But it's the one format which virtually every piece
of music software supports to some extent so can be handy for sharing music files.

I was a little disappointed that "Largo al Factotum" was not one of the arias which Antoine used,
cos I like it and think much could be done with it. It's also one of those which most "lay" people
would recognise. Maybe I'll do something with it sometime!

In the meantime, I'd be interested in seeing anything else which Antoine does.

Thought the list might be interested.

Regards

Ian
