As I said, it has been awhile since I saw the numbers about this recording
(it was brought up in one of those depressing classes at Eastman about the
end of the world as it pertains to classical music), but it was on a major
label. I believe the BSO was recording for Polygram at the time... Big
label or not, classical releases have a *very* limited audience.
