That's curious. Are the B natural numbers transposed in modern working
editions? I didn't have a reason at the time to notice the publisher when we
played through it (it was a weekly session of a reading orchestra I play
in - we only had the parts in front of us that night), but we did the entire
opera minus the recitatives and there were definitely not B natural parts in
the music we used. I'd have noticed, even if the conductor hadn't! ;-)
