I don't have the book, but the reference is to 'Mozart, Studies of the
Autograph Scores', 1987, and is probably in the chapter that reprints
his 'Notes on the Composition of Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte', ibid., pp
171-221. Probably it's a question of dating the MS, no?

Do you have the reference handy?
