Subj: Re: [kl] Fair price in NYC for bass clarinet repadding?

Hello Kenneth,
We perform a complete repad on a Student Bass Clarinet for $240 (assuming
that there are no surprises). This, of course, includes all new kid leather
pads, necessary corks, tenon corks, complete adjustment. We would need it
in the shop for 5 days (so if you shipped it to us from NY you would expect
to be without your instrument for about 2 1/2 weeks). With the ease of
shipping these days, musicians in need of repair services, especially more
extensive tasks, shouldn't feel restricted to local technicians only (even
though there are many good tech's in NY!). All the best, Lars Kirmser THE
MUSIC TRADER

BTW, I have a complete repair price list posted on my web site, in case you
want to compare other prices. Go to: http://www.musictrader.com and click
on "Repair Shop".
