Of all the Mozart operas, the clarinet parts to Cosi are the most
elegant, the most plentiful, and the most soloistic when taken as a
whole. There are also deleted arias that are equally exquisite, and one
of them, "Ah lo veggio quell'anima bella" also was considered by Mozart
for the original last movement of the clarinet quintet. But he changed
his mind.
