Be Patient. That`s all you can do, if he is on the adult size Bb instr.
Write your own simple exercises/popular tunes, involving the left hand,
which will keep him interested for another 4/5/6 months. See how fast he
grows, then try some more R.H. Otherwise, the only alternative (if his hands
are really small) is to beg/borrow/steal an Eb Clarinet for him. Be patient
is the best bet.
