It probably doesn't. Your problem is elsewhere. You may have good
suction on top joint and again on lower joint but put together the
two joints may not hold the vacuum. Look at the key pad between LH
1st and 2nd finger when any RH ring is pushed down. Does it fully
close and seal? If it does, is the RH keypad just above the F/Bb ring
also down tight when each (separately) RH ring is down? They must work
together. Examine bridging leverage between joints. Is there
any slop in the bridging mechanism? Move the top/bottom joints
slightly out of alignment and check again. Also, check keypad under
LH A key for closure when LH thumb ring is depressed. Look for any
wobble between joints that may indicate cork is out of round.

If you were sitting here with me holding your clarinet, we would
find this problem quicker than Dan Leeson could say "Chocolately sound"
but your not,so we have to shoot in the dark. What was your repairman's
thinking in replacing one pad with Teflon?
