I'm a fairly new adult beginner on the clarinet. When I decided to purchase a
horn I looked at both the Selmer Omega and the Yamaha YCL 34. It may be due
to an untrained ear, but I found the Yamaha played better for me, although
they were both very close. I found both horns played well at the softer
volumes, but that I got a better sound from the YCL 34. The keys felt more
responsive to me at all volumes and the clarion notes were easier to his.
Just my two cents.
