Approximately 3 years ago I switched from Buffet R-13s
to Concertos, and I am extremely happy. Yes, there were
problems but the overall sound and flexibility of the instrument
won me over. Quite a while back, my colleague in NMSO, our local
clarinet repairperson, and myself sent a similar letter as yours to
Leblanc. We were amazed to see that many of the problems we
noticed were improved on the latest instruments. I'm sure that
Leblanc heard from many other clarinetists as well!

My biggest concern at the moment is that they don't use
enough glue on the pads, and sometimes it causes a tiny buzz....
Replace the pad, and it's gone.

As for the copper showing through the rings....I've never had
a nickel clarinet that didn't do that....Alas, I finally switched to silver.

In the interest of having improved clarinets for everyone, I hope
you forward your letter. :)
