On June 11, the Tualatin Valley Community Band will host a community band
festival at the new gazebo in Cook Park in Tigard, Oregon, just southwest of
Portland.

Three local community bands will each play a 45-minute concert, beginning at
2:00 PM:

- Beaverton Band
- Marion County Citizen's Band
- Tualatin Valley Community Band

The order of play will be determined by random drawing on the day of the
concert. That way, all players have an incentive to come and listen to all
three groups, instead of arriving 5 minutes before tee time and leaving
immediately after. All participants, their families, and the general public
are invited to join us in a potluck dinner afterward, at about 5:15.

The TVCB portion will likely include:

Ayres Of Agincourt Richard Mayer
Grant Us Peace J. S. Bach
Hebrides Suite Clare Grundman
Molly On The Shore Percy Grainger
Shenandoah Ticheli
Silver Gazebo James Barnes

All three bands will mass at the end for a rousing finale of Souza's Stars
And Stripes Forever.

If you will be in the Portland area for the Rose Festival (this is the day
after the Grand Floral Parade), drop by and introduce yourself. I'll be the
one with the clarinet. :)
