Why wonder? Why not ask David Etheridge? I personally don't think the idea is fleshed out enough yet on what information you're trying to gather and its relevance, but there's nothing to stop you. You may have to rent your tone generators, amp, speakers, etc., make a proposal, get the players, find a time at the hall, etc. Since the hall is in use most of the day already, perhaps next year would be a better idea. I think you'll need to spend a bit more time figuring out exactly what your experiment is doing.
