i took the plunge and had that clarinet looked at again. For around $30,
including an attempt at fixing the case, it is now playable. I thought that
it would be fun for parades, our communty band's yearly visit to the
Veteran's Home in King (WI), and 4th of July.
I am an adult and took up the clarinet in 9/97. Saxophone lesons as a kid
helped, but I like the clarinet a lot better. I am GLAD that I didn't try
learning on that metal one. How did our forefathers (and foremothers, for
you PCers) ever do it?
