Around ten years ago, Thea King pointed out to me that the number 3 is
implicated rather strongly in K622, and I've been discovering more ways
in which it is, ever since.

You might say that the interval of a major third is commonplace in
classical music. But the themes of K622 feature them particularly.
It's a bit difficult in this medium to outline how, but you can see it
when you start to look.

Also, three note repetitions and three note anacruses that embody a
third abound. The idea of the three registers of the basset clarinet,
and the three sharps of the key signature are other indications.

And how about that the most striking third register repetition of a
phrase that's already been stated in upper and middle registers occurs
in bar 333?
