Has anyone noticed that some of our best performances - from the public's
point of view - have come when we were ill or under great stress. Why? I
suggest that we focused more on the task at hand. We wanted to do a good
job - and the one significant distraction removed all of the clutter we
subject ourselves to the rest of the time. Besides, we recognize that
there will be time to be sick afterwards.
