Absolutely. And this is one of the reasons that i began to pay attention
to the mental part of ( to use the Italian terms) touching and sounding
music.

My most clear and striking experience.
The concert was Brahms 4th, 2nd half Canadian Brass. early am of the day
of the concert, i suddenly developed a raging toothache. Did not have
regular dentist (gee, could there be a correlation?). Got a family
member to plead with her dentist to see me as an emergency. Dentist
understood the situation, gave me moderate prescription pain pills and
codeine for AFTER the concert.
Before the concert, not only did it hurt to talk, but even to breath
through my mouth.
I had NO awareness of pain while playing, except between movements. From
the first two chords of the Canadian Brass intro, Just a Closer Walk
until 30 minutes after the last sound, i had absolutely no pain, playing,
smiling, laughing aloud.

Was it JUST random luck that this tag went with this post?
