I prefer the less fluent but more expressive terms for 'sombrer' shade,
or shadow.
Sombrero is a hat. A hat shades, casts a shadow on the face.
(My dictionary didn't have sombrer, so i derived meanings that made
sense.) Fortunately it relates well. It works for me <) ;- ).
