Had the opportunity to play the Mozart Requiem on Basset Horn
for the first time. A last minute emergency sub siduation.
Never played one before, but I play lots of other doubles and
was given a good instrument to work with(a few hours before).

What a blast, really enjoyed it.............Question?

I was told to use an Alto sax reed. Used Van# 3
on a Van B44 mouthpiece. Took some adjustments
to get one to respond well but we made it work out.
Does this sound right to those on the list that know
better? Do they make a "basset horn" reed?

Cheers
