Squeeking is part of the deal, my friend. The higher you go on a reed, the
better the sound, or so I think. (Could be wrong) It affects tone, as I
understand it. You want to go to a higher strength read so you get better
and don't go through so many reeds. If you go through more than tw or three
reeds a week, you need a stronger reed. While we are on the subject of
reeds, what different brands of plastic reeds are there and are any of them
worth it for a High School student?
