If you would kindly look more carefully at what I wrote, you will see
that
I was actually qualifying what I was saying by mentioning factors such as
bad lighting which could make transposition more difficult, especially for
players who didn't do it often.
Transposition *is* a necessary skill, of course - I never said anything
else.
I don't see that I should retract *anything* - I simply didn't entirely
agree with what you wrote. What's so annoying about that?
