I too have wished that Luyben would produce that
style of ligature for other reed instruments,

I have a "hard rubber" Luyben that I use on my Eb. I put two Bay Mouthpiece
pads on the sides of the eb mouthpiece (to take up the space) . Then, I use
the Luyben. Real nice sound, still hit the super high notes, improves
articulation......

Try it.
