The Brilhart mouthpieces with the white inlays are very much available
today, through Selmer. They are named for or possibly designed by Arnold
Brilhart, who was a top pro woodwind man in his day (c. 1920's). The sax
mouthpieces were very popular among pros in the 1940's. In those days,
they were made of WHITE material with a BLACK inlay! The vintage models
(usually serial numbered) receive respectable bids on eBay.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
