My experience leads me to agree with Bill.

And in the past year i have begun playing bass clarinet and tenor sax.
But to be more specific about the improvement with practice.

I was having a hard time with notes below D on the bottom of the horn on
2 nd tenor parts.
Found and fixed a minor adjustment problem on G# pad.
**Stopped trying so hard.**
Focused more on breath support and less air volumn.
Did Goldilocks variations on embouchure ; too much, too little, just
right.
The low notes were no longer bears.
