Sheesh! Why do you think clarinets are black in the first place?
It's to get the nice dark tone.

On a different subject, someone was asking about the "Victorian
Country
Kitchen Garden" disc. Out of curiosity, I bought the Emma Johnson disc,
expecting to hear laid back 'English country garden' music. Most of the
CD is, in fact, relaxed and peaceful and beautiful -- not too dark, not
too bright, much of it being piano + clarinet duos, and the two
instruments sound like they were created especially for each other --
but then she tears into FLIGHT OF THE BUMBLE BEE! If you aren't
prepared for it......
