To me, the real advantage of the Bonade is that it acts as more of a
"clamp" than the cheapies, making a mush higher percentage of reeds
playable. I have also found that it holds my reeds much more securely.
Sometimes the reeds can move from side to side slightly with the less
expensive models, even when the screws are tightened properly. We are
talking about a $15 item here. I think that amount of difference is
enough.
