I am planning my timeline for the clarinetfest and notice that after a
flight to Denver and back to Okalhoma I will have a 35 mile drive to the
hotels in the area. I have spent my 53 years within a mile of Manhattan,
New York and have never driven in what I am told is a totally deserted type
of terrain, mile after mile after ...... Is this a horrible drive? Is it
dangerous? Also, I have to make the return trip at 3 in the morning. Is
this a recklessly dangerous move?

Not to extend the boring, but necessary, question too much, after
clarinetfest I am visiting Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. I will have a
50 mile drive from the airport to the hotel, and both that trip and the
return trip are at 3 in the morning. At this point I am sort of scared of
this.

Please e-mail me privately if you have experience in this.

Thank you.
