The Schubert Octet as well as broadcasts of other works that were never
commercially available are available directly from the Cleveland Orchestra.
There were two boxed sets available in recent years. One was celebrating the
75 year anniversary of the orchestra and has a number of works over the
years from various conductors, including Szell. Szell recordings here are:

Sibelius 2 and 3
Wagner-Sigfried Idyll
Mozart- Requiem
Schumann-Introduction and Allegro
Strauss- Der Burger als Edelmann Suite
Ravel- Le Tombeau de Couperin
Prokofiev- Classical Symphony
Mahler- Das Lied von der Erde.

The other celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of George Szell with
recordings of:

Wagner- Excerpts (Tannhauser, Tristan, Gotterdammerung)
Barber- Music for a Scene from Shelley
Ginastera- Pampeana #3
Dutilleux- Cinq Metaboles
Walton-Violin Concerto
Beethoven-Missa Solemnis
Schubert- Octet
Berlioz- Excerpts from the Damnation of Faust
Sibelius- 4, 7, En Saga
Mahler- Symphony #9
Interviews with Szell

For any fan of Marcellus or Szell these are an absolute must. Contact the
