G'day all,
I have just bought a "Genuine Mazzeo Clarinet" on
e-bay. It's serial # is 358433. It cost me $49.00 plus
whatever it is going to cost me to send it to
Australia. Now my questions.....can anybody tell me
what brand I can expect it to be when it arrives (as
the seller isn't a clarinet player and didn't mention
it in the add) and an approx. age. Also, as some of
you may have seen on the e-bay site the extension keys
producing bottom E F# and alternate F are missing
(which I can only put down as the reason I got the
clarinet for such a price!)along with the posts. Now
the important question. I have to assume that these
can be replaced. I have an old plastic clarinet that I
can pull apart to replace the actual keys and posts
but am I wasting my time, effort and cash? Perhaps
some of our repairers can advise me. Also on a
guestimation of the price I can expect to get the
clarinet repaired. According to the seller, the
remainder of the clarinet is in excellent
condition...no cracks mentioned etc.
Thanks in advance.
Rod
