It never ceases to amaze me how you presume to know everyone so well on
this list, as if you even had a clue as to my background or my upbringing.
If you'd been on this list long enough to see some of the older
conversations I'd had with Roger Garrett or Dan Leeson, you'd
understand that quite simply, I am nothing more than a smart ass with a
clarinet in one hand and keyboard in the other.

Don't you presume to call me a victim - everything I am, I've chosen to
be, and I'm damn proud (forgive this one Carol) of the majority of those
choices.

It's so easy and convinient to reduce everyone to a child-like status for
you, isn't it?

I play. That's all that matters, that's all that ever HAS mattered,
that's all that ever WILL matter. Whether or not this is of satisfaction
to you is of no consequence to me. I'm sticking up for the people who
want a good answer from you, but don't seem satisfied. Your proof won't
mean a thing to ME, but it does to other, younger, more impressionable
players here, and THAT's why I added my smartassed request for ' "eyes-on"
geometry' that I did.

Spare me your Freud - I saw another shot to excersize my sarcastic nature.
If you'd been around for more than a few months here, you'd have known
that much already. I'd wager at least some of the people on the list
might have actually EXPECTED me to respond in the way I did.

Blah blah blah...now you're way off - if you've done anything with this
last statement, it's prove that you know virtually nothing about me at
all.

Oh...so that's it...I'm from New Mexico...and that brings the
Central/South American factor into who I am?

Now THAT's bull.

You want it straight? You want to know who I am? Where I come from?

This is who I am.

My name is Jason Michael Nohe, born of an Air Force mechanic and a Thai
housekeeper. My friends call me Shouryuzani, Japanese for Shadow of the
Rising Dragon, and have done so for nearly ten years.

Music has been the only constant in my life, and I currently play 4-5
hours a day on various clarinets and saxophones. As a result, I don't
watch TV, listen to the radio, or read the newspaper. I keep up with
current events through word of mouth. So much for your 'media
brainwashing' theory. Guess I can't be the poster child for your fallen
youth - too bad for you.

I am a Christian who was not born so or 'brainwashed' so, I chose my faith
of my own free will, and am continually challenged by it to live as a
better person. I am far from perfect, and never will be, but continue to
strive for that in all aspects of my life.

I was born in New Mexico, and quickly flown to England where I was raised
watching Postman Pat and Paddington Bear. I didn't have a clue who Mr.
Rogers was until long after I return to the US. I remained fairly
solitary throughout my life, and chose not to indulge in any sort of
substance use, be it cigarettes, drugs, or alcohol after seeing how it
affected people I was close to. I know more than a few people who were
addicted to any one or more of the above, and it wasn't what _I_ wanted.
No brainwashing, just a decision on my own.

My father is descended from the German ironworkers of the Alsace-Lorraine;
my mother was nothing more than a Thai pesant. My sarcastic nature is a
result of the company I have kept, and I make no apologies for that,
because the company I have kept has also nutured and encouraged my
musicianship to grow.

I have long black hair to my waist and I wear a lot of black. I'm not a
'hippie' nor am I 'goth.' Nobody mistakes me for either. I occasionally
wear glasses, and work out in a gym regularly. I'm not a 'dork' or a
'jock.' Nobody mistakes me for either. If anyone pigeon holes me as
you've attemped to do, it's in the 'musician' category, in which case, I
have no problem with that.

THAT is who I am. But despite what you may have learned about me here,
you still don't know me well enough to presume ANYTHING of me as you
previously have. Any post you send following this concern me, or why you
think I am the way I am, or who you think I am, will be read, most likely
laughed at, and then deleted. I won't waste any further of my time or the
lists time dispelling any delusions you have of who I am or where I come
from or if you even understand me in the slightest.

There are others here who already understand me completely. And the only
reason they do is because the address me without presumption.

> :-) Smile.......

Always...except when I'm playing...'smile' embouchure never worked well
for me...
