Mr. Callahan,

Because you are 16 and I am past retirement age, and even though to you age
is no reason to show respect for another human being, and there other
reasons I am aware why you are saying what you are saying, you still fail
to see that this is not about you or me.

Yesterday was National Holocaust observance day. But not in America -
nobody remembers. My observation of the holocaust was in the oral and
written history of this country. Being enough part American Indian to
qualify for tribal enrollment (Having a CIB) I have always traveled to the
reservation where my Indian ancestors yet live. Being compasionate I have
volunteered my time as a instrumental teacher on various other reservations
where the school system and living conditions are third world. I brought my
own musical items and left them. In most cases there were none there and
many cases there still are non not are their qualified teachers.

In a place where 18 young children around 16 years old in around 1996 in
the course of two years took their own lives from despair and hoplessness
on the Standing Rock Reservation in South Dakota... I knew their relatives
and saw some of the parents at tribal fiunctions and some of them kids.

I do not wish to get into a political discussion about this or any other
situation. All I can say is that every Indian kid on every reservation I
have ever met were respectful of others and mindiful of age and knew how to
speak and read into a converstaion with civility.

I am sorry that your paraents did not teach you anything. I can tell by the
way you write (and read) that you are going to have a hard time growing up.
Perhaps you never will. There are so many men (and you ladies will agree)
who reach into their gray haired years and do not grow up. I still have a
long way to go.

You claim that you have a gift. Why not use that gift and explain if, how,
and why a bell desgign on a clarinet will make any difference in theory and
how much of it relates to what can be heard by the ear, instead of using
your last two posts to gain attention and favor and feed your ego, or
defend your insecurities? That was the subject. I admit that even I took
a turn from it.

If you were not so young I would not have responded to your posts. Can you
write music?

Cheers, Leo

"You Take The High Notes" http://helius.carroll.com/p/leo_g/ There is a
difference between "dealers" and musicians that love not only the sound of
music but the tools which make it possible for people to play music. It's
important to set things free so they may ultimately find their way to
their intended parties. I am especially interested in Musical Instrument
History and technical data. Please email me with interesting links. Thank
you:-) Leo
