I remember my first eefer, it was a Selmer Paris that I got in a pawn shop
for $100 around 1976. I had never played one before. To learn how, I took
out all the sheet music in my library that went with everything I had on LPs
and played along by ear, using the sheet music as a guide. It was a blast.
At about that time community bands were coming into vogue so I joined one
and lied about my experience on the thing because I knew no conductor in his
right mind would let me play otherwise. It's been a love affair ever since.
They are so much fun and you can do things with them that you can't do on
the bigger clarinets (such as irritate the piccolo player). I hope you
enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed all three of mine. ;>))))
