Look at it from another angle of consumer development.
Say consumer X buys a CD and downloads it to listen at work. In essence the
company who sells this CD is punishing the end consumer by demanding that
they take the physical product with them or utilize another format where
they get MORE money at the consumers expense.
Now lets say the RIAA has their way along with the media moguls. How long
do you think it will be before they offer the same service at a fee to the
end consumer, thereby making them pay twice for the single item. It is
corporate greed, and nothing more.
It is a blatant pillage from our pockets and it has to stop.
