Subj: [kl] Ad/clarinet and Scottish harp

For the International Clarinet Association's composition competition, I wrote
a piece for clarinet and folk harp. I plan to publish it in my JB Linear
Music business, but cannot until I hear I didn't win...well, I hope I did, of
course. It is named Three Pieces for Clarinet and Clarsach. Clarsach is an
old Scottish/Irish name for harp and is written for the smaller folk harp,
but playable on a larger pedal harp. It uses techniques of Celtic music in
addition to challenging technical features for the clarinet. (making the tape
was tough!) I included some of what I call "benign" uses of multiphonics. The
last movement has the harp playing several traditional gigs are the clarinet
winds up improvising on a few chords and a picture of a Celtic Knot. I'll let
the list know when it is released.
