Yes, you can play the A as usual and then add the side key that is
closest to the mouthpiece for the B. The B will probably be a little
sharp (say my book).

I think that student clarinets should come with a copy of an
in-depth fingering book. I was truly aggravated when I discovered two
months after I purchased my instrument that there are, in fact, several
ways to get various notes that don't appear in the back of beginner text
books. I felt like I was receiving the full info on a 'need to know'
basis.
You can buy a pocket-sized in-depth fingering book for $15 +
shipping. I've already 'plugged' a source for this book, so plugging it
twice would be a sin, but if you want the web address, email me.
