In my part the last(third) trill is G with NATURAL A.

Hello all!

Being the curious, ambitious student I am, I have finally drifted towards
the clarinet solo line in the beginning of Rapsody in Blue, and have a few
questions to ask all you wonderfully tallented musicians out there :)

First of all...when you do the "slide" from G to C, I know you're supposed
to roll your fingers off the keys gradually to get the full tonal glissando,
but is there a certain way I can do so with out getting the occasional
squeek between the G and the A?

My second question is....in the second phrase of the solo, there is a set of
three trills (the first one is from A to Bb, the second from D to Eb, and
the third from G to Ab)...the second and third are not difficult, but I have
to imagine there is an easier way to accomplish the first trill without
having to trill with the thumb on the octave key...is there an alternate
fingering for that trill?
