More on this topic.

Almost the next day after I sent that post, I was requested to make a
mouthpiece that fit this paradigm. 1.00 tip and the use of Vandoren 4 1/2
and/or 5 reeds.

So, I took a brand new Zinner blank, with a very close tip and worked the
length of the facing back until the reeds I was provided started playing
nicely. I had to lengthen the curve to 36 before the jaw/teeth pressure
required to make the reed play was endurable.

At just about 36, the reeds became very nicely playable. I could play this
setup all day and into the night. Nice "dark" (non shrill) focused sound,
easy articulation, lots of control.

I'll probably create a new "model" around these measurements. Do I personally
want to play this facing myself?

I dont know. I'll make up a few more and try them out in an orchestra
rehearsal in a big hall.
