I was getting ready to write almost the exact same reply. Thank you Sean,
you took the words right out of my mouth.

If you don't like a message, use your delete key. I use mine all the time.
Whether we like it or not, we live in a pretty commercialized and
increasingly entrepreneurial society. Many of us (myself included) happen
to have businesses with a presence on the web. Most of us are also learning
new tricks in our respective trades and are eager to let people know about
them. I find it quite interesting when Walt Grabner tells us about some new
tidbit concerning his mouthpiece skills. I want to know when David Blumberg
has put up more sound files on MP3.com or what is going on with Mark's new
internet radio site (Sounds2you?). As for games to get people to visit the
site, the list got pretty involved in guessing who or what something might
be. When I have posted stuff about recording, you wouldn't believe the
number of private e-mails I get with questions. Do I hope that this list
can get me some recording work, of course.

Yes, this list can be a lot to wade through, but there is some great
information posted here just about every day. As I said, learn to use your
delete key. Every post that complains about it just adds to the already
huge bandwith that this list uses.

Oh well, time to get off my soapbox. Back to our regularly scheduled
business.
