I find this interesting because...at least in my case...if I do a
cost/benefit analysis, "plastic" reeds come out way ahead. That's before you
take into consideration "other factors" which often outweigh economics.

I recall that much of the discussion about Legere's and other synthetics
products address "performance" and "feel." Those, of course, are the
controlling variables in most cases. But I'd be interested in other views on
the narrow subject of the economics of cane versus plastic. Fred Sterns
