This is my own (Toms's) personal facing. It is very long in the curve with a close tip opening, with thick rails and tends to require heavy reeds. It is very low in resistance and requires very little embouchure pressure. It is recommended for players who do not care to bite and who prefer a dark, deep tone. >>

I am becoming very curious about this type of mouthpiece and this particular facing style. Are there any listers out there who use this kind of set-up?

If so, could you please share your experiences with us?

I am particularily intrigued with the concept of "not caring to bite". I am coming to believe that many of the problems that plague us as performing clarinetists is the necessity of biting, which our reed/mouthpiece combinations have forced upon us.
