Ryan asked:
<Would anyone on this list be interested in parting with a German or
Albert System Clarinet? Or know of anyone I can purchase one from at a
reasonable price?
Preferably a newer German System>
The Spring 2000 copy of the Woodwind (WWBW) catalogue just arrived, listing
three German System clarinet by Amati: a model 242, wood, 17 keys, 4 rings,
with plastic bell (!) - $459, a model 240, same, all wood - $539, and a
deluxe model 670 (20 keys, 5 rings, silver plated keys, usw) - $1299. I've
played the "pro" Amati Bb, and it's not too bad. The line is Czech made, I
believe.
