The horn as a whole is uncomfortable like most Alberts. I have felt the Oehlers
and find them 100% more comfortable. I play both Boehm and Albert Systems and
Soprano Sax in some dixieland bands locally. I find Albert or even Oehler
system necessary in this genre

Yes I am quite aware that Alberts have not been made in decades. However, I am
not too sure of Amati clarinets either. I know nothing of their durability,
etc. I know the Schrieber and Sonnes make German sys as well as
Hammerschmidt. I have no idea on pricing of those two. I know the Amatis
through WWandBW start at $459 so they may be worth a shot.
