I am a high school band director and two of my 4 tuba players are girls, all
but one percussionist are girls, trumpets are split about half and half. I
have a girl baritone player and will have two next year, and i have had girl
trombonists. I had only one male clarinettist last year and have had no male
flutists in several years. (I don't know why.) We have more female low brass
players in junior high.
