Your English is lovely....much better than my Italian...or Spanish...or...

I tried your trick once, years ago, when I was a kid.

Reed caught fire, scared me, I dropped it on the floor, my Mother stamped it
out..

Reed played fine afterwards......at least to an 11 year old.

Never tried it again tho.......
