From: charette@-----.org Subj: [kl] Profiling tools on DSD Date: Wed, 19 Apr 2000 10:45:54 -0400
Mei,
I just talked with Kelly Petersen and it appears as if DSD will be our "testbed" for performance changes, profiling, etc. (not baseline testing - that'll be DSP). Could you or Tina execute the system packages required so we can use the new PL/SQL profiling tools available in 8i? I'm changing some of the SOP code to use bulk bindings and other explicit optimizations and need to see if I'm going in the right direction, especially since my next step will be re-writing the SQL for parallel execution and the Middleware server for true multi-threaded execution instead of its current queueing method.
Thanks,
Mark Charette, Performance Team Lead
