Certainly I don't deny that, but there is such a thing as showing up an
being so outclassed you're like "uh... goo goo ga ga." They are
knowledgable, they are wise, they are even caring enough to answer you if
you can manage to get something out. It's getting over the inferior feeling
that's overwhelming. The "I have noooo idea what in the name of sam hill you
people are talking about, so I'll just go hide in a corner," kind of thing.

That's what the great thing about this list is- they DO help, and if you
don't understand, you can ask. If not them, then someone somewhere on this
list will be able to explain it. I for one am most appreciative to Mark
Charette (sp?) and the members on this list for helping us newbies out with
sometimes inane stuff like "which reed should I use?" when the answer is
obviously not that easy and varies from individual to individual.
