Bill: They not only sing to themselves, but to zillions of fans who award them
with statues and platinum records. The case in point is the proliferation of pop
singers who, deluded by this demonstration of lousy taste, think whatever they are
doing must be fantastically good to warrant such accolades. Sorry to intrude on
this thread with my vitrolic judgement of today's pop music but it never ceases to
amaze me how it is construed to contain any musicality whatever. Now I feel purged,
at least for today.
