I am having my senior recital
soon and I was wondering if I could get some help in writing program notes.
I am playing Brahms' Sonata No. 2 in Eb, Sutermeister's Capriccio and
Bruch's 8 pieces for Cla, Vla and Pno (no 2, 6 and 7). I know that I won't
have any difficulties in finding resources for the Brahms but I can't seem
to find anything especially on the Sutermeister and Bruch. Our library
does not have anything on Sutermeister

Heinrich Sutermeister was born august 12, 1910 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland
(where the famous Rhine falls are).He studied history with the Universities
of Paris, Basel and Munich. In Paris he was so impressed by the music of
Milhaud's and Honegger's, that he decided to also study music, especially
composition. After WW II he dedicated all his time to composing. He is/was
one of the most important and influential French composers in postwar
Switzerland. He composed anything: the "Cappriccioi" for clarinet solo, but
also operas, ballets, and so on, and so on

Wish you a happy time if you want to hear Giora feidman.
