Subj: [kl] HELP WANTED - Italy school system

We are discussing in Italy the reform of the school system for the Academies
(Fine Arts, Dance and Dramatics Arts) and the Conservatories of music.
I'm the coordinator of the students of the north-east area of Italy.

The reform project, in my opinion, is absolutely wrong. It has been promoted
by UNAMS, the teacher's trade-union, and it does modify positively the
"status". They had obtained more prestige and money but there isn't a
substantial improvement of our didactical level.

So... I just want to gather a wide range of models from around the world.
I'd like to have some link or some idea so that I can study the school
system of your countries; in particular USA, Germany, France...

I know that such a request in this forum could be unsuitable but we are
writing the future of the Culture in Italy so... it is really vital to me.
